MOTORING organisations have leapt leapt

A past tense and a past participle of leap.
 to the defence of women drivers, after reports that men were superior at the wheel.

Chief driving examiner Robin Cummins told the Sunday Times men had more natural ability and control and needed less teaching.

But motoring organisations disagreed. The British School of Motoring said they had no evidence of men learning faster than women or that there is a marked difference between the either sex learn to drive.
