Battery Ventures Promotes Christopher Schiavo to Chief Financial Officer.


WELLESLEY, Mass. and SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Battery Ventures, a leading venture capital firm investing in technology companies at all stages of growth, today announced the promotion of Christopher Schiavo to Chief Financial Officer. Schiavo joined the firm in 2000 as Controller, and was promoted to Vice President of Finance in 2002. As CFO See Chief Financial Officer. , he will oversee Battery's financial reporting and treasury functions, including all portfolio company financings. Schiavo will also manage additional back office functions including the firm's IT infrastructure. Battery is currently investing Battery Ventures VII, a $450 million fund.

"Chris has been a key contributor to enhancing our franchise and treasury operations, and we're confident his experience and leadership will add to the continued success of the partnership," said Chris Hanson, Battery's Chief Operating Partner.

Prior to Battery, Schiavo held several positions at Fidelity Investments, most recently Director of Corporate Accounting. He also worked at ITT ITT Initial Teacher Training (UK)
