) announced today that its subsidiary, Battery Technologies Sweden ("BTS BTS - Bug Tracking System ") (formerly Dema Group) of Oskarshamn, Sweden has signed a Letter of Intent with Target United AS of Fredrikstad, Norway for an exclusive sales and distribution agreement. One of Norway's leading importers and distributor of home electronic products, the privately held Target (www.target.as) is part of the United Consumer Electronics, a buying group consisting of eight independent companies distributing products throughout much of Europe. Established in 1983, Target has distribution agreements with the largest wholesalers in Norway. BTI acquired the Dema Group in May, 2001. Now operating as Battery Technologies Sweden, the business consists of Dema AB, the exclusive distributor of Toshiba batteries in Scandinavia, the Demacell(TM) brand of RAM batteries (www.demacell.com) distributed throughout Scandinavia and some parts of Europe, and the Demacell line of "Smartlights(TM), an energy saving and environmentally friendly line of lightbulbs.

BTI is the inventor, developer and owner of the unique, patented rechargeable alkaline manganese (RAM(TM)) battery technology on which it holds 43 patents related to chemistry, product design and manufacturing processes. BTI is engaged in the worldwide commercialization of the RAM(TM) technology and other portable energy products through its licensees and the Dema Group, a wholly owned subsidiary Wholly Owned Subsidiary
