, Battery Technologies Scandinavia Inc. ("BTS BTS - Bug Tracking System ") are pleased to announce the formal signing of an exclusive distribution agreement with H. Landman Technologies Agent B.V. ("Landman") of the Netherlands for Dema products. BTI (www.bti.ca) acquired the Dema Group (www.dema.se and www.demacell.com) of Oskarshamn, Sweden in May 2001 and renamed it BTS. BTI announced a Letter of Intent with Landman in mid March.

The Landman Group (www.oplaadbaar.com) is a privately held, leading sales and distribution company based in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands. It currently distributes a variety of consumer products including batteries, chargers, transformers, and switches for the electronics industry.  such that Landman becomes the exclusive distributor of BTS products for the Netherlands and in return will market solely BTS battery products; eliminating competing lines, in favor of Demacell RAM(TM) and Toshiba. In addition to distribution, Landman produces battery packs utilizing multiple battery configurations for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  customers.

The battery market in the Netherlands is approximately 50% greater than that of Sweden, consequently BTI has significantly increased its business opportunity base with this agreement. Expansion of BTS to additional northern European markets is contemplated in the near term and is the subject of current significant activity.

Mr. J. Bruce Pope, President and Chief Executive Officer of BTI, said, "We are very excited to have the Landman Group as a key part of our expanding network in Europe. They are a well established, quality operation and we can count on them to add substantially to our business base. This is an important step in our committed strategy to build a network to deliver growth and shareholder value."

Mr. Henry Landman, Managing Director of Landman said: "This is an important step for our company, to align itself with BTI and BTS, and we're confident we can grow their business and as well strengthen our own portfolio of portable energy products and accessories. Demacell RAM(TM) represents great chemistry that has broad application here in the Netherlands, and the strength of the Toshiba name, together with their full-line approach to product development, will positively affect our sales."
