.) Battery Depot Inc., a subsidiary of Battery & Wireless Solutions Inc. ASE is a comprehensive and robust data management product with a long history dating back to the late 1980s. ), announces it has recently opened their fourth specialty retail battery store.

Opened on October 1, 1997, the fourth store was opened by an Edmonton based retail investment company under a franchise system now being offered by Battery Depot Inc. Battery Depot Inc. currently operates three corporate stores located in Vancouver and Calgary, with this fourth store representing the first franchise store location.

Under an agreement with Battery Depot Inc., the Edmonton franchise owners, plan to open up to 6 stores in locations in central and northern Alberta Norhern Alberta is a region located in the Canadian province of Alberta.

Its primary industry is oil and gas, with large heavy oil reserves being exploited at the Athabasca Oil Sands and Wabasca Area in the east of the region.

Battery Depot Inc. is planning 25 franchise store openings during 1998 and plans to open a total of 100 locations over the next 4 years.

Through franchise fees, royalties and product sales, additional revenue contributions from franchise stores to Battery Depot Inc. and Magnacharge Battery Corporation will exceed $4 million in the first year of franchise expansion, rising to $30 million in the fourth year of franchise expansion.
