Battelle Pulmonary Therapeutics Changes Name to BattellePharma; Name Change Reflects Company's Position as a Specialty Pharmaceutical Company.

COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BW HealthWire)--April 11, 2002

Battelle Pulmonary Therapeutics announced today that it has changed its name to BattellePharma to emphasize the company's position as a specialty pharmaceutical company. BattellePharma has a growing portfolio of nine products in development, with several in early clinical trials, to treat a variety of respiratory and systemic diseases and lung cancer lung cancer, cancer that originates in the tissues of the lungs. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States in both men and women. Like other cancers, lung cancer occurs after repeated insults to the genetic material of the cell. .
