Bath's drugs probe trio quit the Rec; Rugby Union: Bringing you updated reports & results from around the world.

ENGLAND star Michael Lipman Michael Lipman (born 16 January 1980 in London) is an English rugby union footballer, who plays for Bath in the Guinness Premiership. Lipman has also played for the England team. He usually plays flanker.  plunged Bath back into crisis last night when he and two teammates quit the club amid drugs allegations.

Lipman and Alex Crockett, the co-captains of Bath, joined Andrew Higgins Andrew Jackson Higgins (28 August 1886 – 1 August 1952) was the founder and owner of Higgins Industries, the New Orleans-based manufacturer of "Higgins boats" (LCVPs) during World War II. General Dwight Eisenhower is quoted as saying, "Andrew Higgins ...  in abruptly handing in their notices minutes before they were due before an internal disciplinary hearing.

The trio had three times refused to take a drugs test following an end-ofseason club bash in London last month.

Bath lock Justin Harrison Justin Harrison is an Australian rugby union player who plays for Ulster Rugby in Ireland as a lock forward; he also has a contract with the Australian Rugby Union (ARU). In 1994, he made the ACT U21s and then the Australian Universities team.  had already left after serious allegations of misconduct were made against players at the party. Four months ago Matt Stevens exited the Rec when he tested positive for cocaine.

"Immediately before the hearings were to take place the players resigned from the club with immediate effect," said Bath chief executive Bob Calleja. "The club regards this as an internal matter and intends to make no further comment."
