, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 1999--Sauza tequila has completed its advertising agency review and awarded the domestic creative assignment for America's fastest growing spirits brand to Bates Bates   , Katherine Lee 1859-1929.

American educator and writer best known for her poem "America the Beautiful," written in 1893 and revised in 1904 and 1911.

"We set out to find the best agency partner to help us continue and accelerate Sauza's growth," said Ginley. "In the end, we selected Bates because of their comprehensive marketing resources and ability to communicate our brand essence in the most engaging way."

Sauza had announced in January it was conducting a closed review and selected a short list of agencies to pitch for the account.

Sauza's award-winning portfolio of tequilas includes: Sauza Silver and Gold in the premium category; Hornitos and Conmemorativo in the super-premium category; and Galardon, Tres Generaciones, and its latest introduction, Triada, in the ultra-premium category.
