BASKETBALL: Everton Tigers The Everton Tigers are a professional basketball team based in the city of Liverpool, in England. Established in 2007 as a start-up franchise of the British Basketball League, the country's elite competition, the Tigers will begin competition from the start of the 2007-08 season.  have today announced that they are to release Mohamed Woni for personal reasons.

The player is set to return to the USA and Tigers coach, Henry Mooney, admitted that he is disappointed to lose him.

"I've known Mo for a long time and have watched him develop as a player and a man over the years," said Mooney. "But he wants to be near to his young son and I don't want to stand in his way over a personal issue."

The Tigers host Milton Keynes Lions The Milton Keynes Lions, officially called Marshall Milton Keynes Lions for sponsorship reasons, is a basketball team which represents Milton Keynes in the British Basketball League, the top level men's basketball league in the United Kingdom.  to Greenbank on Friday.
