. Javaris initially fired a warning shot, but Jumper came toward him anyway, so Javaris pointed the right-hand gun at Jumper and fired--twice. When that gun jammed, Javaris fired the left-hand gun. Finally, Jumper fled, apparently unharmed.

But appearances proved to be deceiving. When the police responded to Chandler's 911 call, they "found Jumper lying on the ground a few houses away, shot multiple times and bleeding from his wounds," reported police Captain Tony Rode to the Miami Herald.

Jumper was hit in the stomach and legs. He was hospitalized in serious condition and will be charged once he is released. Jumper has a long criminal record.
