Bonds to Appear in New KFC Popcorn

Chicken Spots with "Seinfeld's" Jason Alexander

Eight-time Gold Glove(R) recipient, four-time MVP and first-time KFC pitchman, Barry Bonds is teaming up with KFC's front-man, Jason Alexander to reintroduce KFC's Popcorn Chicken. The first of two television spots, as well as radio, featuring Bonds is scheduled for national release on Monday, May 20.

The television ad features Bonds hitting a crushing home run, when he realizes it was Alexander who gave up the gopher ball. They return to the dugout, where Bonds begins snacking on some mystery meat nuggets. Alexander asks if he knows what's in the nuggets and a puzzled Bonds has no idea. Alexander then offers him a tastier alternative - KFC's Popcorn Chicken, and Bonds promptly grabs his bat and pounds the mystery meat nugget out of the ballpark. The :30 spot will run from May 20 through June 23 with a condensed :15 version airing throughout the same time period.
