Senior School is celebrating its latest big hit after two pupils were selected to represent England's rounders team. Stephanie Dagger, 18, and Meghan Roberts-Barr, 15, impressed England's selectors at the trials held last term. Stephanie, from Gateacre, who plays as a deep fielder, has been chosen for the U18 team, having previously played for U17s last year, while Meghan, from Dingle, who plays in the backstop position, will represent the U16 team. Jan Davies, head of PE, said: 'We have established close links with the England and county selectors who recognise the high standards set by the school. "In fact, Belvedere was the first school in Liverpool to be awarded the prestigious Sportsmark Award by Sport England Sport England (formerly the English Sports Council) is the governing body responsible for advising, investing in and promoting community sport in England. During the winter Stephanie plays lacrosse for the school and both Lancashire and the North Territory U18 teams. She has gained her Community Sports Leadership Award, an AS level in Sport and Physical Education and is studying for her A2 examinations which including Sport and PE.
