Bartech Group Names Chief Operating Officer.

DETROIT -- The Bartech Group, one of the nation's largest independent human capital staffing and services firms, announced the appointment of Gary W. Peck as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Peck will be responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic direction of The Bartech Group, accelerating the Company's growth into newer and expanding areas of the human capital and staffing services industry. He will report to Jon E. Barfield, Chairman and President.

Peck is the former President of a $1.3 billion staffing business at Spherion. As a recognized leader in the human capital industry known for operating businesses that grew at above industry rates of revenue and profitability, and as an innovator for ideas such as Spherion's On-Premise program, Peck will be an important driver of new growth initiatives for The Bartech Group.

Peck has more than 25 years of experience in the human capital management industry. Starting as a branch manager running a single location, his career has included roles as the COO of a $400M health care staffing company, and CEO of a US/India HRO (human resource outsourcing company). He has run both company-owned and franchise businesses, operated both domestically and internationally, and in public and private company environments. In addition, he has spent several years consulting with investment firms interested in the human capital industry, as well as staffing, recruitment and HR services firms directly.
