Now a wholly owned subsidiary of Harrah's Entertainment it was part of the Hilton Hotels chain and was spun off from , Inc. resort, to install automatic minibars in all 2,619 guest rooms. Installation is planned for October 2004.

Paris Las Vegas selected Bartech for its advanced minibar functionality including a PDA-based refill application, and the ability to customize the minibar cabinetry specifically for the Paris-themed casino resort. The deal represents the company's first contract with Caesars Entertainment. Bartech currently supplies automated minibars to two other major 2,000+ room casinos in Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. Unlike other automated applications, the Bartech system does not require a paper refill report to be printed by attendants servicing guest rooms. Minibar attendants, visiting only those rooms where minibar products have been picked up for consumption by guests, use a hand held PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) A handheld computer for managing contacts, appointments and tasks. It typically includes a name and address database, calendar, to-do list and note taker, which are the functions in a personal information manager (see PIM).  to display all refill requirements electronically. While in the room, the attendant checks the bar and records any rebates directly on the PDA. The PDA synchronizes with the Bartech software that passes rebates directly into the PMS (Pantone Matching System) A color matching system that has a unique number assigned to more than 500 different colors and shades. This standard for the printing industry has been built into many graphics and desktop publishing programs to ensure color accuracy.  and on to the guest folio in real-time. No manual rebate postings are required. This automation reduces labor costs significantly as well as the chance for errors or incorrect charges.

Bartech's refill and reporting information also helps to speed replenishment, eliminate expired inventory, reduce energy costs and enhance merchandising for popular high-profit products.

"We designed the ideal minibar set-up for Paris Las Vegas with a combination of top and side dry sections for their premium merchandise," said Marc Cohen PERSONAL

Marc Cohen lives in the San Fernando Valley and attended Cal State Northridge University He is married with two children. Marc was formerly President of the Starlight Childrens Foundation.
, Bartech's Vice President of Casino Sales. "The addition of our 'e-visual' window on the minibar's door will also increase impulse sales and help drive revenue for the hotel", he added.

Mark Holzberg, President of Bartech The Americas, commented that, "We are extremely pleased to have been selected by the Paris Las Vegas to fulfill their minibars needs, and very much look forward to working with them. With the installation of Paris Las Vegas, we'll have more than 12,000 casino hotel rooms operating our automatic minibars in the US." Holzberg added, "Our commitment to working with casino properties is further evidenced by the fact that we now have four Bartech employees located in Las Vegas."

Bartech automated minibars provide the ability to control and track refreshment revenues and usage. Charges are posted directly to the property Management system (PMS) in real time, making minibars options efficient and profitable while minimizing guest disputes and lost revenues.
