Bart Service Schedule for New Years Eve and New Years Day.

OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 30, 2002

On Tuesday, Dec. 31, New Years Eve, BART will provide a special weekday schedule beginning at 4 a.m. with three lines, Pittsburg/Bay Point-Daly City, Richmond-Fremont, and Dublin/Pleasanton-Colma. Direct service will begin at 5 a.m. between Fremont and Daly City Daly City, city (1990 pop. 92,311), San Mateo co., W Calif., a suburb of San Francisco; inc. 1911. Daly City is primarily residential, its population having grown significantly since the 1970s. , and between Richmond and Daly City. All trains will operate on a 20-minute schedule over the five lines, approximating Saturday service levels until 6 p.m.

At 6 p.m. trains will phase into a three-route evening schedule providing service between Dublin/Pleasanton and Colma, Richmond and Fremont; and between Pittsburg/Bay Point and Daly City, and continue until 3 a.m. New Years Day morning.

The Flash Pass sells for $5.00 and is good for unlimited trips, anywhere on BART between 6 p.m., New Years Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 31 until 3 a.m. New Years Day morning, Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003. While Safeway stores are the primary retail outlet for the passes, a full list of outlets is available on BART's website -- www.bart.gov.
