The work is scheduled to begin Sept. 8, when crews begin surveying for existing utility lines at all four locations. The first construction will occur at the San Mateo Avenue grade crossing, then move to San Bruno Avenue. Work hours at these two locations will be 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Thursday. During construction, one lane will be closed on San Mateo Avenue, while San Bruno Avenue will be closed at the railroad tracks. Traffic on San Bruno Avenue will be detoured onto San Mateo and Huntington Avenues to bypass the construction zone. Both streets will be fully accessible during the day. After completing work at San Mateo and San Bruno Avenues, crews will move to Scott Street. Work hours there are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. One lane will be closed during construction. The project concludes at Center Street, where work hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some noise can be expected during construction.
