But it turns out this is best FOR Potter fans; you have to know the characters from the books to appreciate a lot of what goes on and the parody is right on the mark. An added plus is that Cazenove has captured all the familiar voices and accents in the American version of the audiobook. The plot is convoluted, funny, fast--and names like Hogwash hog·wash n. 1. Worthless, false, or ridiculous speech or writing; nonsense. 2. Garbage fed to hogs; swill. hogwash Noun Informal nonsense Noun 1. , Hermine Cringer, Lon Measley, Halfwit halfwit Noun a foolish or feeble-minded person halfwitted adj halfwit n → Schwachsinnige(r) f(m) (fig) (inf) → , Alpo Bumblebore, Muddle, Uncle Serious, Valumart, and Severe Snipe will soon become as familiar as the originals. The story supposedly involves Barry, Hermine and Lon seeking to find author Rolland to stop the filming of the books, but that changes too. The message is anti-merchandising and positive. Some scatological sca·tol·o·gy n. pl. sca·tol·o·gies 1. The study of fecal excrement, as in medicine, paleontology, or biology. 2. a. An obsession with excrement or excretory functions. b. humor makes it just right for all those younger YA fans to enjoy. A lot of fun! Jean Palmer, KLIATT |
