Barry K. Herman.

Barry K. Herman, MD, MMM, CPE, FACPE, is senior director, regional medical & research specialist (RMRS) for Pfizer, Inc., and is the 2005-06 winner of the Pfizer "Outstanding Achievement Award." The purpose of the award is to recognize exceptional individual achievement that supports the vision and direction of the RMRS group during the preceding year. Herman was recognized for his leadership during a time of organizational change. He was formally recognized at the Pfizer RMRS National Meeting held in Chicago in May. Herman, a psychiatrist, serves as a representative to the American Psychiatric Association's governing body, the Assembly, and has recently been appointed to serve on the APA's Managed Care and Audit Committees. He also is delivering a workshop entitled, "Partnering with the Pharmaceutical Industry" at the 2006 World Psychiatric Association's International Congress in Istanbul.
