Vale of Glamorgan MP John Smith said: ``We're trying to encourage people to come down here but for some reason they have been closing the toilets at seven, even though the area is still full of visitors - it is ludicrous.''

Council officials will now keep the toilets open until 9pm right through to Sep t embe r.
