As academic leader of the College of Engineering, Dr. Johnson oversees four departments with 60 faculty members and 1,200 undergraduate and graduate students. Prior to joining Villanova, Johnson was senior vice president and chief technology officer of Honeywell International in Morristown, NJ. Johnson also previously served as Corporate Vice President of Motorola, Inc., Chief Technology Officer for the company's Semiconductor Product Sector in Tempe, AZ and held a variety of technology, product development and operations leadership positions during his 16-year career there. Johnson holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in metallurgical met·al·lur·gy n. 1.
