 Fellow and Chief Technology Officer for BroadVision's Advanced Technology Group, has joined Wheelhouse as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President, Research & Development.

Briggs brings to Wheelhouse more than two decades of technical experience and visionary leadership in software technology and management. At Wheelhouse he will be responsible for leading the team that is spearheading the development of the company's proprietary marketing-technology service-development and operations platform.

Briggs was most recently at BroadVision and previously at Interleaf Desktop publishing software that was widely used for DOS, Windows 95/98, NT, and a variety of Unix-based computers from Interleaf, Inc., Waltham, MA. Interleaf's full-featured program supported a large number of document and image types, including its ability to handle extremely long , a company acquired by BroadVision. As Chief Technology Officer of BroadVision's Advanced Technology Group, he was responsible for creating and driving various technology initiatives through the company with a primary focus on mobile Internet Refers to gaining access to the Internet using a lightweight, handheld device. Prior to BroadVision, Briggs was at Lotus Development Corp., where he invented the concept and led the technical team that developed Lotus eSuite, a collection of client-side Java applets A Java program that is downloaded from the server and run from the browser. He was the principal architect for the Lotus Domino enterprise integration strategy and for the Lotus/IBM technology integration following IBM's acquisition of Lotus. In addition, as Chief Architect of the company's flagship spreadsheet application, Lotus 1-2-3 (TM), Briggs was responsible for the development and architecture of the most popular software application of its time. Briggs is also well known as a technology thought leader and is a frequent speaker on technology issues.
