Barry's Jewelers names Carol R. Goldberg to board.


MONROVIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 8, 1996--Barry's Jewelers Inc. (NASDAQ/NM:BARY) Friday reported that Carol R. Goldberg, 65, an executive with an extensive background in retailing, has been elected to the company's board of directors.

Goldberg's election was announced at the company's annual meeting of shareholders on Nov. 5. She joins Barry's eight-member board, with Chairman William Eberle, Vice Chairman Thomas S. Liston, and Directors Robert W. Bridel, David Cochran, John W. Gildea, Cleaveland D. Miller and William P. O'Donnell.
