Barry's born to run; Ruby Walsh's fifth win brightens up black day for Irish PAUL MARTIN'S CHELTENHAM DIARY.

BARRY Geraghty Barry Geraghty (born 16 September 1979 in County Meath, Ireland) is an Irish jockey. Geraghty rode his first winner in January 1997, three years later he became the Irish Champion jump jockey for the first time. He won the Grand National in 2003 on Monty's Pass.  certainly wasn't burning the midnight oil.

The Irish Daily Mirror columnist has been blazing a trail at Cheltenham this year and it's clear to see how he's got the edge on many of his rivals.

I was at the track at 7.30am yesterday and spotted the star jogging around the track at high speed. He told me: "I love getting out for an early morning run."

The way he's performing at the minute I wouldn't have been surprise to see him leaping over a few of the fences either.
