Barringer Technologies Receives Orders for IONSCAN and SABRE Trace Explosive Detectors Aggregating $3.2 Million.

Barringer Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:BARR), the world's leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer of trace drug and explosive detection equipment today announced that is has received orders for its IONSCAN (R) and SABRE trace explosive detectors valued at approximately $3,150,000, from various aviation security and anti-terrorist agencies around the world. Deliveries have begun and are expected to be completed by the end of the second quarter of 2000.

Mr. Kenneth Wood, President and COO of Barringer Technologies, said, "These new orders strongly affirm our position as the premier supplier of trace detection instruments to the security community worldwide. The equipment will be used to support an array of anti-terrorist missions and applications.
