Barrick Appoints Peter Godsoe to Board of Directors.

Peter Godsoe has had a distinguished business career. Currently Chairman of Scotiabank, he served as Chief Executive Officer from 1993-2003. During this period, Scotiabank achieved strong earnings every year. In 2002, he received the Order of Canada The Order of Canada is Canada's highest civilian honour within the Canadian system of honours, with membership awarded to those who exemplify the Order's Latin motto Desiderantes meliorem patriam, which means "(those) desiring a better country" (Hebrews 11:16).  and was inducted into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame The Canadian Business Hall of Fame honours "Canada's most distinguished business leaders", according to its web site.

The Canadian Business Hall of Fame was established by Junior Achievement of Canada in 1979.

Mr. Godsoe first joined Scotiabank in 1966 after earning his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School Harvard Business School, officially named the Harvard Business School: George F. Baker Foundation, and also known as HBS, is one of the graduate schools of Harvard University. .
