Protection for outgoing email was previously offered only with the Barracuda Spam Firewall -- Outbound Mode product line, which launched earlier this year. With today's announcement, organizations can now ensure all outgoing email is legitimate and virus-free, while at the same time continuing to provide the same high quality protection for inbound email that they have come to depend on with the Barracuda Spam Firewall.

More advanced outbound email filtering capabilities including: outbound email quarantine, email compliance filtering for corporate policies and government regulations such as HIPAA and Sarbanes Oxley, outbound keyword and regular expression scanning, and outbound whitelisting, will still be available exclusively with the Barracuda Spam Firewall -- Outbound Mode product line.

Such features are crucial for larger enterprises that require more comprehensive protection for outgoing email.
