 thereunder. The complaint alleges that defendants issued a series of materially false and misleading statements concerning the company's operations and earning trends. Because of the issuance of a series of false and misleading statements, the price of New Era common stock was artificially inflated during the Class Period. Before the disclosure of the adverse facts described above, certain insiders sold thousands of shares of New Era common stock to the unsuspecting investing public at artificially inflated prices and the Company completed several corporate acquisitions using its artificially inflated common stock as currency.

The Sirena (SIRN and SIRNQ) complaint, filed in the Central District of California California (kăl'ĭfôr`nyə), most populous state in the United States, located in the Far West; bordered by Oregon (N), Nevada and, across the Colorado River, Arizona (E), Mexico (S), and the Pacific Ocean (W). , charges Sirena and principal officers and directors with violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The complaint alleges that beginning in November 1998, defendants made false and misleading statements about Sirena's operations and earnings. More particularly, plaintiff alleges that Sirena filed false financial statements for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters of fiscal 1999.
