During his tenure, SunRiver grew from a privately held start-up into a public, $100-million-plus global provider of graphic terminals, workstations and network computers. From 1980 until 1987, Parks worked in the publishing business, producing high- profile coffee-table books for chambers of commerce in Philadelphia, Anchorage and Knoxville. In addition, he helped start two successful consumer and business magazines, Mississippi Magazine and Mississippi Business Journal Mississippi Business Journal is a statewide business newspaper, located in Jackson, Mississippi.
