TOWN Ladies continued their good recent form with a hard-fought hard´-fought`

Huddersfield had the benefit of a strong wind in the first half but failed to create much at all, while Sheffield did their best to pass the ball along the ground and came closest to scoring when a headed 30th-minute corner crashed back off Town's bar.

In the second half and against the wind, Town came out stronger and Katie Barnes put them ahead on 48 minutes when she broke away to finish superbly.

Sheffield then began to use the wind to their advantage, and player of the match Laura Carter pulled off a number of good saves to keep Town ahead.
