Barnes & Noble to Open New Store at Camp Creek Parkway, East Point, Georgia; New Bookstore Debuts on July 23.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 2003

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world's largest bookseller, will open a new 24,000-square-foot bookstore on July 23 in the Camp Creek Shopping Center at 3685 Market Place Boulevard in East Point, Georgia. The store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and include a cafe serving Starbucks coffee. The new Camp Creek Barnes & Noble will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sundays and employ approximately 45 people from the community.

The public is invited to a Preview Night Party at the new Camp Creek Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, July 22, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The evening festivities will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Mayor of East Point, Patsy Jo Hilliard, and include live music, coffee, iced tea and dessert samplings from the Barnes & Noble Cafe. Jazz soloist Earth Angel and saxophonist Karl Cage will play throughout the evening. For children, Clifford, the Big Red Dog will host storytime and greet fans. A portion of the Preview Night sales will benefit the Sheltering Arms for Kids.
