), the world's largest bookseller, will open a new 25,000-square-foot bookstore on September 15 in the Derby Street Shoppes at 96 Derby Street, Hingham, Massachusetts Hingham is a town in Plymouth County on the South Shore of Massachusetts. The population was 29,882 at the 2000 census. Hingham is located 8 miles south of the Boston city limits. . The store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD DVD: see digital versatile disc.

The public is invited to a Preview Night Party at the new Hingham Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, September 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. A portion of the Preview Night sales will benefit the Town of Hingham Department of Elder Services. --Advanced technology music-listening system. The store's music department will feature RedDotNet, the most advanced listening technology. RedDotNet enables customers to listen to any CD in the store, sampling up to 200,000 music titles by simply passing it under a scanner.
