Barnes & Noble to Open New Store at 6300 South Main Street, Aurora, Colorado.

New Bookstore Debuts on October 20

NEW YORK -- Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world's largest bookseller, will open a new bookstore on October 20 in the Southlands Town Center at 6300 South Main Street, Aurora, Colorado. The store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and include a cafe serving Starbucks coffee. The new Barnes & Noble at the Southlands will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day, and employ approximately 50 people from the community.

The public is invited to a Preview Night Party at the new Barnes & Noble at the Southlands on Thursday, October 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. A portion of the Preview Night sales will benefit the Aurora Public Library. Patti Bateman, library services manager, will participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:15 p.m. Dogs from the library's Wagging Tales program, which encourages children to develop reading skills by reading aloud to specially trained dogs, will be on hand. The dogs will also host Storytime with fellow canine Clifford the Big Red Dog and Corduroy Bear from 6 to 7 p.m. Local author Carolyn Sutton will sign copies of her book, Family Guide to Colorado's National Parks and Monuments. Native American flutist Eric "Many Winds" Herrera will perform throughout the evening.
