), the world's largest bookseller, will open a new bookstore on October 5 adjacent to the Mid Rivers Mall at 320 Mid Rivers Center Drive, St. Peters, Missouri. The store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD DVD: see digital versatile disc.

 and magazine titles and include a cafe serving Starbucks coffee. The new Barnes & Noble at Mid Rivers Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday and employ approximately 60 people from the community.

The public is invited to a Preview Night Party at the new Barnes & Noble at Mid Rivers Center on Tuesday, October 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. A portion of the Preview Night sales will benefit the St. Charles City-County Library District. Local author and businesswoman Ann Hazelwood will sign her new book, 100 Things to Do In & Around Historic St. Charles. A local jazz combo will provide entertainment throughout the evening. Costume character, Clifford the Big Red Dog, will be on hand to greet his fans and host story time at 7 p.m.

--Advanced technology music-listening system. The store's music department will feature RedDotNet, the most advanced listening technology. RedDotNet enables customers to listen to any CD in the store, sampling up to 200,000 music titles by simply passing it under a scanner.
