Barnes & Noble to Open New Store at 1430 Plaza Place, Southlake, Texas; New Bookstore Debuts on April 19.

NEW YORK -- Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world's largest bookseller, will open a new bookstore on April 19 in Southlake Town Square at 1430 Plaza Place, Southlake, Texas. Concurrently, the existing store at 1217 State Highway 144 West, Grapevine, Texas, will close. The new store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and include a cafe serving Starbucks coffee. The new Southlake Barnes & Noble will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day and employ approximately 60 people from the community.

The public is invited to a Preview Night Party at the new Southlake Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, April 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. A portion of the Preview Night sales will benefit the Southlake Public Library, also located in Southlake Town Square. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. with David Faltys, superintendent, Carroll Independent School District. Clifford the Big Red Dog and Maria Cameron, youth services librarian, Southlake Public Library, will lead a children's parade to a second ribbon-cutting ceremony for the "Barnes & Noble Jr." children's book department. Storyteller Elizabeth Beamon, Southlake Public Library, will read at story time. Music will be provided by the Vocal Majority quartet.
