Barnes & Noble to Open New Store at 12000 Southeast 82nd Avenue Portland, Oregon; New Bookstore Debuts on May 3.

NEW YORK -- Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world's largest bookseller, will open a new bookstore on May 3 in Clackamas Town Center at 12000 Southeast 82nd Avenue, Portland, Oregon. It replaces the store at 9078 Southeast Sunnyside Road, Clackamas, Oregon, which closed April 8. The new store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and include a cafe serving Starbucks coffee. The new Clackamas Town Center Barnes & Noble will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day and employ approximately 100 people from the community.

The public is invited to a Preview Night Party at the new Clackamas Town Center Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, May 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. A portion of the Preview Night sales will benefit the North Clackamas School District. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Milwaukie High School jazz ensemble and the Oregon Trail Elementary School choir. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. with Bill Kennemer, chairman, Clackamas County Board of Commissioners. Clifford the Big Red Dog will be on hand to meet his fans.
