), the world's largest bookseller, announced it has signed a lease agreement to open a new Barnes & Noble bookstore in West Dundee, Illinois West Dundee is a village in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 5,428 at the 2000 census.

West Dundee lies across the Fox River from East Dundee and Carpentersville.

The 25,000-square-foot store, expected to open in Spring 2004, will be located in the Spring Hill Mall Spring Hill Mall, opened in October 1980 is a regional shopping mall in West Dundee, Illinois and Carpentersville, Illinois. Spring Hill was developed by Homart Development Company, then owned by Sears, Roebuck & Company.  at 1072 Spring Hill Mall Boulevard.
