), the world's largest bookseller, announced it has signed a lease agreement to open a new Barnes & Noble bookstore in Maumee, Ohio ? Maumee is a city in Lucas County, Ohio, United States. It is a suburb of Toledo along the Maumee River. The population was 15,237 at the 2000 census. Maumee was also declared an All-America City by the National Civic League in June of 2006. , which is in the Toledo metropolitan area The Toledo Metropolitan Area is a metropolitan area centered in the American city of Toledo, Ohio with 656,696 residents and four counties within Northwest Ohio. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the metropolitan area includes the counties of Fulton, Lucas, Ottawa and Wood. . The bookstore, expected to open in October 2007, will be located in The Shops at Fallen Timbers Fallen Timbers, battle fought in 1794 between tribes of the Northwest Territory and the U.S. army commanded by Anthony Wayne; it took place in NW Ohio at the rapids of the Maumee River just southwest of present-day Toledo.  at Fallen Timbers Drive and Russell Road Russell Road may refer to one of the following:

* Advanced technology music-listening system. The store's music department will feature RedDotNet, the most advanced listening technology. RedDotNet enables customers to listen to any CD in the store, sampling up to 200,000 music titles by simply passing it under a scanner. Connected to the company's online electronic music catalog, the store's listening stations make "browsing with your ears" a reality.

* Giant Newsstand. The store's newsstand stocks over 2,000 titles, including hundreds of hard-to-find specialty magazines, out-of-town and even foreign newspapers.
