), the world's largest bookseller, announced it has signed a lease agreement to relocate its current Carle Place store to a new two-level 30,000-square-foot bookstore. The new store is expected to open in July 2005 in the same shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into , Country Glen Center, on Old Country Road in Carle Place. Concurrently, the existing store at 91 Old Country Road will close. The store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD DVD: see digital versatile disc.
