Barnes & Noble Signs Lease for Antioch, California, Store; Store Will Open in September 2003.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 8, 2003

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world's largest bookseller, announced it has signed a lease agreement to open a new Barnes & Noble bookstore in Antioch, California. The 23,000-square-foot store, expected to open in September 2003, will be located in the Slatten Ranch Shopping Center at the intersection of Lone Tree Way and Highway 4 Bypass. The store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles and include a cafe serving Starbucks coffee.
