Bark in the Park San Jose Welcomes Up and Coming Canine Celebrity; World's Tallest Puppy, Bigson, Visits Family Event.


SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Bigson, The World's Tallest Puppy, will join other fun loving dogs at Bark in the Park Bark in the Park is an annual festival for dogs and their owners in the San Jose, California, Naglee Park neighborhood, held on the third Saturday in September.

It is a fundraising event hosted by the Naglee Park neighborhood's Campus Community Association (CCA).
 2006 on September 16, 2006, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in William Street Park (Corner of Williams and S. 16th Street) in downtown San Jose Downtown San Jose is the central business district of San Jose, California, United States. The area is generally located north of Interstate 280 and east of Guadalupe Parkway, which roughly parallels Guadalupe River. , CA.

Bigson, the world's Tallest Puppy, is over 11 months old and weighs nearly 200 pounds. He is already outweighs his Uncle Gibson, the record holder for being the world's Tallest Dog, who only weighs 170-pounds. Bigson will be available to have his picture taken with all dogs, small and large, throughout the day at Bark in the Park San Jose.

Dogs Just Want To Have Fun is the theme of this year's Bark in the Park. Located in an expansive, tree lined Neighborhood Park, this casual, family oriented day features contests, music, celebrities, demonstrations, dog-related vendors and services, kids activities. And, dogs, lots of dogs. Admission is free with a $5 donation per dog encouraged

Special attractions at this year are: Dog Costume Contest, 11 a.m., Silly Dog Tricks, 12 p.m. and Pet/Owner Look Alike Contest at 1 p.m.

Ongoing activities include: Dog Water Park, Free Dog Agility Course, Rabies Vaccine rabies vaccine

About the Campus Community Association

Naglee Park is a historic San Jose neighborhood developed on the estate of Brig. General Henry Morris Naglee Henry Morris Naglee (January 15, 1815 – March 5, 1886) was a civil engineer, banker, vintner, and a Union general in the American Civil War. Naglee was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1835. , a Civil War veteran and prominent California pioneer. The Campus Community Association grew out of Naglee Park to become a strong advocate for neighborhood values in San Jose.
