Bargoed's win sets up test against the students.

BARGOED closed the gap at the top of Division One East to four points behind leaders Uwic.

And on Saturday, Bargoed Park should be full as the home side take on the students in what could be a thriller.

A controversial last-minute penalty gave Uwic a 32-30 home win over Llanharan as referee David Jones David Jones is a common name, particularly in Wales, and there have been several well-known individuals with this name. In the first half Humbertsone and Codey Rees shared six penalties.

Then, scrum-half Glen Holloway touched down with Rees converting, but with five minutes remaining Uwic led 29-16 after Richard Mountford scored, Humberstone converted and kicked two penalties before converting a try by Craig Howells.

Llanharan lock replacement Lee Davies drove over with No 8 Glenn Slater adding another and two Rees conversions almost won it, only for Humbertsone to land his sixth penalty.

Bargoed raced to a bonus point win with three tries in a seven-minute spell following a red card to Tredegar hooker Paul Edwards Paul Edwards may refer to:
