Bargain hunting's my favourite sport; In association with DEBENHAMS.

Byline: Tess Daly Helen Elizabeth Tess Daly or Tess Daly (sometimes known as Tess Kay) (born Stockport, England, 27 April 1971) is a television presenter, and is married to the presenter Vernon Kay. She grew up in Birch Vale, near New Mills, Derbyshire.

"After a week of mounting press hysteria over John Sergeant's decision to leave Strictly, a record amount of viewers tuned in to see him waltz off the show with tearful partner Kristina.

John lingered backstage, thanking the cast and crew. It was as if he really didn't want to go - or maybe he just didn't want to face the TV news crews waiting for him outside.

The furore even travelled across the pond. My friend in New York New York, state, United States

What's so compelling for me about this series is that it's impossible to predict who'll leave next and who'll make it to the final. It's gripping stuff!

For the Saturday show I chose an elegant racer back Amanda Wakely gown, and for the results show it was High Street all the way with a lime silk cocktail dress from Reiss.

Talking of the High Street, the good news for us Christmas shoppers is that the sales have started early. Led by the M&S 20 per cent discount last Thursday, Debenhams followed with 25 per cent off everything on Saturday. Other retailers are about to follow suit in a bid to raise revenue.

I love the sport of bargain hunting - that search for the perfect trophy buy, the thrill of the chase, the joy of locating that treasure! And now that stores are practically giving stuff away, you'd be a fool not to part with your cash.

I find there's none of the usual shopper's guilt with outlet shopping where you can find last season's ranges at massively discounted prices. Bicester Village near Oxford (www.shoppingvillages.com) is chic outlet shopping at its best and, trust me, you'll be glad you made the trip. You'll find Monsoon, Reiss and French Connection with at least 50 per cent off. Plus there's Alexander McQueen, Dolce dol·ce   Music

 to keep warm.

I've already started the search for the perfect non-granny thermal vest. Us northern lasses wouldn't be caught dead without our vests come November - it's genetic!

I only wish it was possible to find a, dare I say, sexy thermal vest with a trim of lace. If you happen to find such a thing, please let me know!

It's already party season and the celebs were out in full force for the opening of the Atlantis Palm resort in Dubai.

I must admit to feeling envious as the likes of Lily Allen and Kylie drank cocktails in their pretty frocks. Sadly, I had to decline the invite - a girl's gotta work to pay for all that shopping, right?"
