Zinfandel Advocates & Producers (ZAP) is a non profit organization dedicated to educating the public about American Zinfandel and its history and culture. Barefoot Cellars became a member of ZAP, and poured at their first ZAP San Francisco tasting in 1999, following the initial release of the Barefoot California Zinfandel. In 2001, and following the release of their Reserve Zinfandel from Sonoma County, Barefoot added a second Zinfandel to their portfolio and to the annual ZAP tasting. Now in its 6th year as a ZAP member, Barefoot Cellars will participate in ZAP tastings nationwide in 2004 including tastings in New York New York, state, United States

Over 8,000 people attended the 2004 ZAP tasting held at the Festival and Herbst Pavilions at Fort Mason Fort Mason in San Francisco, California is a former U.S. Army post located at the northern Marina District, alongside San Francisco Bay.
