Its unique diamond design minimizes shortening of the stent upon deployment, unlike other expandable stents which may shorten by as much as 60% once deployed. The Memotherm Stent is delivered through a 7 Fr. catheter and shortens less than 5% at full expansion, making accurate placement easier to achieve.
