THERE's so much happening in the film world in the next few days and weeks it needs this special column to tell you all about it.

NT LIVE: All's Well That Ends Well is a National Theatre broadcast that will be taken by 330 cinemas around the world next Thursday, October 1. It's the second play in the pilot season of NT Live, the National's new initiative which launched in June with the hugely successful broadcast of Phdre with Helen Mirren.

All's Well will be the first play broadcast from the largest of the National's three theatres, the Olivier, with its fan-shaped auditorium and open stage.

Set against a background of sexism, snobbery and a battle between the generations, All's Well That Ends Well turns fairy tale fairy tale

NT Live performances are filmed live at the National Theatre in high definition and broadcast via satellite to more than 70 UK cinemas. More than 260 cinemas abroad, including venues in the USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa South Africa, Afrikaans Suid-Afrika, officially Republic of South Africa, republic (2005 est. pop. 44,344,000), 471,442 sq mi (1,221,037 sq km), S Africa. , Scandinavia and Europe, will also screen the performance, live in Europe and time-delayed in countries further afield.

West Midlands' screenings of All's Well next Thursday are at: Cineworlds Broad St and Shrewsbury; Warwick Arts Centre Warwick Arts Centre is a multi-venue arts complex at the University of Warwick in Coventry, England.
