) today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Bard Access Systems, Inc., received Food and Drug Administration clearance to market the HemoSplit(TM) catheter for long-term renal dialysis care. Bard Access Systems previously acquired the exclusive rights to this patented technology invented by Dr. Thierry Pourchez, a noted French surgeon.
