Bard Announces International Launch of Premounted SAXX Renal Stent.

C.R. Bard, Inc. (NYSE-BCR) announced today the international launch of its premounted SAXX Renal Stent Delivery System.

The SAXX Renal System combines the SAXX(TM)stent and the Opti-Plast(TM)XT balloon catheter balloon catheter

 to create a unique and flexible low-profile combination.

The Opti-Plast XT delivery balloon is made of proprietary Nydex material, a non-compliant, scratch-resistant nylon that is ideally suited for stent delivery and placement. The SAXX stent is made of high-grade stainless steel stainless steel: see steel.

The system's 6F compatibility and ultra-low profile allow it to smoothly traverse tortuous anatomy. The SAXX Renal System is available in catheter lengths of 75 and 120 cm. The stent comes in a range of diameters from 5 to 7 mm and lengths from 13 to 20 mm. The SAXX Renal System is CE marked and available for immediate sale in Europe.
