Barco, daytaOhio Partnership Stimulates Local Economic Growth.

XENIA, Ohio -- The recent opening of daytaOhio, Ohio's center for large-scale data management and analysis technologies, has stimulated a steady stream of visitors from all facets of industry, government, and academia. Barco and daytaOhio conduct regular demonstrations of the advanced visualization systems, showing state-wide businesses how they can implement these revolutionary technologies for cutting-edge data analysis and collaboration.

The partnership is even stronger due to a recent change in Barco's infrastructure. The simulation company has centralized two operations in Xenia, bringing its Presentation business unit to the area. This development will leverage Barco's existing framework, enhancing the success of the visualization solutions available at daytaOhio.

daytaOhio, a consortium of business, government and academic members, is headquartered at Wright State University's Joshi Research Center, a state-of-the-art facility equipped with Barco's advanced visualization technology. The main visualization laboratory includes Barco's CADWall--a large-scale projection wall powered by Barco's multi-windowing XDS-1000 display management system--and Barco's I-Space, an immersive 3D stereo environment. Also featured at the Joshi Center are two network-centric conference rooms with Barco's scalable desktop capabilities for collaborative analysis and decision-making.

daytaOhio's mission is to bring together world-class researchers in data management innovation with entrepreneurs and industry, to promote the commercialization of new technologies and the creation of new jobs in information-intensive industries in Ohio. The daytaOhio facilities support project activity with fully functioning corporate hoteling space and conferencing facilities for visiting scholars and businesses collaborating on projects together.

With the help of experts from daytaOhio members including Wright State faculty and Barco, local companies can implement these exciting technologies for efficient, time-saving conferences and extensive analytical research.
