Barclays Bank plc, headquartered in Cheshire, UK, has purchased a comprehensive AuroraDS MANAGE/Series automated correspondence and document solution from Cincom Systems (Cincom Systems, Inc., Cincinnati, OH, www.cincom.com) One of the largest and most experienced software companies in the world. Founded in 1968 by Thomas Nies, who has the distinction of being the longest-serving company chief in the industry, Cincom sells manufacturing, financial and , for a total contract value in excess of $750,000. One of the key reasons for Barclays' decision is that the software integrates information from mainframes, UNIX UNIX

The new system which includes M/Text(TM) letter production facility, will automate many aspects of Barclays' customer correspondence. The system gives Barclays' staff maximum flexibility in terms of using standard letters and their components (as well as free format text), personalizing it and choosing where the documents are printed and posted. Considerable cost savings are possible using central printing and mailing facilities.

We liked the way in which Cincom's M/Text product operates on all of our different hardware platforms Each hardware platform, or CPU family, has a unique machine language. All software presented to the computer for execution must be in the binary coded machine language of that CPU. Following is a list of the major hardware platforms in existence today. M/Text bridges the gap between our end users' document assembly needs and our data processing data processing or information processing, operations (e.g., handling, merging, sorting, and computing) performed upon data in accordance with strictly defined procedures, such as recording and summarizing the financial transactions of a  resources.
