 last night insisted he hates being labelled a gallant loser and that the narrow defeat to French giants Toulouse just left him feeling like a sore loser.

The Warriors led at half time in the Heineken Cup clash but were left with just a consolation point after Toulouse turned the screwin the second half at Firhill to run out 22-16 winners.

Despite Friday's defeat Glasgow coach Sean Lineen Sean Lineen from New Zealand is a notable Scottish rugby player. He was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1961 in Auckland, the son of rugby player Terry Lineen. Unusually for a foreigner he has been awarded the freedom of the city of Edinburgh.  insisted his side had shown plenty of pride and passion.

He said: "It was disappointing we weren't further ahead at half time and we need to be more clinical.

"At the start of the second half we made simple mistakes and a great team like Toulouse will punish you for that.

"But the guys never stopped trying and a couple of times we came close to adding to our score.

"We can now look forward to next week's game against Leinster and take this sort of intensity into our Magners League campaign."
